Advantages of Shipping goods from Ho Chi Minh City to Sweden by air

Speed and reliability

Speed is the most significant advantage shippers obtain when delivering air freight. Considering the distance of 8,638 km from Ho Chi Minh City to Sweden, this mode of transportation provides the quickest delivery times as well as the most reliable arrival and departure schedules.

Shippers with time-sensitive cargo, such as perishables, may find that air-only or ocean-to-air services are the best options.

Security

While airport security can be a hassle for those of us who fly, strict regulations and screenings benefit air freight shippers. Cargo receiving areas and air terminals are highly monitored and secured, limiting the risk of theft or damage. Additionally, there is minimal handling and less time required for transit.

Tracking

Most air freight service providers offer web-based tracking that allows you to check the real-time status of your cargo, from destination to arrival.

Cost of packaging

Because cargo is shipped in very lightweight packaging, there is reduced need for packing materials and containers.

Air freight Chargeable Weight

Air freight chargeable weight is different from volumetric, dimensional, and gross weight. Rather, the chargeable weight is the quantified weight upon which the carrier charges you on the invoice, which can be either the gross or the volumetric weight of your shipment, whichever is higher.

Product Weight + Packaging/Pallet Weight = Gross Weight

It is generally accepted that the actual weight of the cargo is measured using the metric system, e.g. kilograms and any imperial units such as pounds are converted into metric units for ease of calculation

Volumetric weight, or dimensional weight

The air freight volumetric weight, or dimensional weight, is an estimated weight value based on a package’s length, width, and height.

To calculate the volumetric weight, you need to calculate the volume of the shipment.

Length x Width x Height = Volume (cm3)

Then you need to calculate the air-cubic conversion factor. This is generally stated as 6000 cm3 = 1 kg
