Because domestic airlines do not have a fleet specialized in moving commodities, Vietnam is currently a promising market for foreign airlines to exploit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aviation sector in Vietnam exploits around 630 thousand tons of freight per year (2013). This is a small amount in comparison to demand because the commodities imported by plane into Vietnam are large: electronics, fashion, fresh seafood, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, Vietjet Air Cargo was the primary operator of cargo handling on Vietjet Air&#8217;s domestic route network. This practice helps to improve the value chain, and assisting industry partners in reaching new heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vietjet Air Cargo is continuing to diversify its business fields; Strengthen cooperation, invest in aviation infrastructure, develop logistics technology, work with Vietjet to enhance the value chain, and also support industry partners to develop together to new heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, Vietjet restructured a number of aircraft, implementing a new style of operation to boost the fleet&#8217;s cargo capacity. The airline moved over 60,000 tons of cargo between countries, with freight income increasing by 75% over the previous year. Vietjet&#8217;s commodities have traveled to the Americas and Europe via codeshare agreements, destinations that the airline had only before planned.
