Human error

Maintenance, ground staff, and pilot errors are the most prevalent causes of accidents and cargo damage. These are caused by mistakes in judgment, diversion of concentration, and weariness, resulting in wrong choices. Human mistakes can also arise as a result of disobeying orders and indiscipline. Furthermore, paperwork mistakes, mislabeling, and poor loading and unloading can all lead to delays and accidents. Documentation errors, such as missing or erroneous information on declarations, customs paperwork, and labels, can hinder air freight delivery or create severe delays.

Despite strengthened regulation and inspection, undiscovered and undeclared cargo continues to endanger public safety. Furthermore, when managed appropriately, a wide range of hazardous commodities is permitted on both cargo and passenger airplanes.
